Oklahoma neighborhood still under voluntary evacuation

We have updated information regarding 20 Shawnee homes in danger from a neighborhood lake.

FOX25 News out of OKC reports heavy rain is causing water to  breach a dam.  Pottawatomie County Emergency Management say the dam is supposed to keep water from homes in Granada Estates.

Crews spent most of Saturday trying to pump water away from the area.  FOX25 reports the three pumps didn't help matters at all.

The area is still under a voluntary evacuation.  Also, the Red Cross opened a shelter, so people have a place to go.

"Have a dry place to stay, food to eat, and a warm place to sleep," volunteer Sandra O'Donnell said.

Flooding problems could persist on Sunday.  National Weather Service is predicting a possible chance of rain.
