A man accused of impersonating a Tulsa County deputy earlier this week, actually is in law enforcement.
KRMG's told a woman informed the sheriff's office a man claiming to be a Tulsa deputy approached her at an east Tulsa convenience store. He even reportedly showed a badge and claimed she had committed a minor offense.
The situation didn't end there.
Deputies say the man made a phone call and then let the woman go with a warning.
After being contacted by the woman, investigators couldn't identify the man right away.
The mystery was solved once Okmulgee County officials saw surveillance video. They confirmed the man is a reserve deputy in their county.
