Deputies: No lead too small in search for missing Oklahoma men

The Mayes County Sheriff’s Office told KRMG they’re following up on every lead that comes in on the case of two men who haven’t been seen since May 22.

Cody Parrick and Benjamin Baber were last seen at the Rocklahoma festival near Pryor, OK.

A few leads have taken the search as far as South Dakota and New York. Deputies said neither of those searches turned up any information.

Deputies said their cell phones have been off the entire time and there’s been no activity in their bank accounts.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is now assisting with the search by trying to locate the cell phones of the two men.

Another hold up in the search, deputies said, is flooding.

“We have to wait, in a lot of areas, for the water to recede.” Captain Rod Howell said.

Howell told KRMG they’re thinking of every possibility in the search.

“We’re trying to have people think outside the box.” He said. “See if there’re any ruts, see if there’s any fence down leading into a body of water.”

On top of the several state agencies helping with the case, they’re asking mail carriers in those rural areas to keep an eye out.

“The rural route carriers know these areas better than anybody… They know if a rock is out of place.” Captain Howell noted.

Anyone with information or a tip that might help with this case is asked to call: 918-825-3820 or 918-825-3535.
