Car crash kills three motorcyclists

(TRYON, Okla.)  - Troopers in central Oklahoma say three motorcyclists were killed after a head-on collision with a car.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the Chrysler 300 was traveling on U.S. 177 Sunday night in Lincoln County when the driver went off the road to the right and overcorrected to the left, crossing over the center line.

The car struck two bikes and killed 49-year-old Steven Franetovich and 20-year-old Clayton Franetovich, of Shawnee.

The third motorcyclist, 36-year-old Brian Bacon, laid the bike down trying to avoid the car and was killed.

The three men died at the scene.

The driver wasn’t injured. A passenger was taken to the hospital and released.

Investigators aren’t releasing the name of the driver or passenger because of their age.
