6-year-old girl bitten by rattlesnake

Sat, Sept 23, 2017 — If you live in or plan on traveling to Henryetta anytime soon, watch out for snakes.

A RN with Hillcrest Hospital Henryetta says pygmy rattlesnakes are causing havoc in the area.

“We are dealing with a very high spike in snake bites,” the RN said.  “In the last four weeks, five patients have been treated.”

KRMG's told all of the patients had to be flown to a hospital in Tulsa. This includes a a 6-year-old girl who has been in intensive care since last weekend.
