Woman gets caught stealing same necklace twice

A woman is busted twice for trying to steal the same necklace from the same store.

Tulsa police say the incidents happened Thursday afternoon at the Walmart located near 67th and Memorial.

The woman was first caught trying to steal the necklace by a store employee. Police say she was held at the store until officers could arrive.

For an unknown reason, the necklace was placed on a chair nearby.

When officers searched the suspect's pocket, they found the necklace again. Police say she must have palmed it off the chair when nobody was looking.

The black chained necklace wasn't worth a lot. Police say the estimated value of the stolen merchandise was less than $30.

The suspect’s record was later expunged.
