Woman found bloody, holding dead dog

KRMG has learned officers were called out to an Oklahoma City home on Thursday and found a woman holding her dead dog.

Police say 21-year-old Sammie Bruhwiler was covered in blood.

A trail of blood led from where the suspect was sitting all the way into her bathroom.

Police say the officers followed the trail and ended up finding two bloody knives.

Officers didn't confirm if the knives were the cause of death.

Also, the breed of the dog wasn't released.

Bruhwiler was taken to the Oklahoma County jail, where she faces a count of animal cruelty.

As of early Saturday morning, jail officials say Bruhwiler is still in custody.
