Woman is banished from shopping at Walmart

An unusual punishment for a suspected thief.

A judge banished a women from a Bartlesville Walmart on Thursday.

Washington County court records show Chrystal Blex was caught stealing DVDs from a Bartlesville store by employees.  

Still, she was able to make it to her vehicle where she took off.  Court records show she's accused of trying to run over an employee during her escape.

Officers were able to track Blex down a short time later and she was arrested.

The suspect told officers she stole the DVDs because she had fallen on tough times.

Blex faces charges ranging from shoplifting to assault with a deadly weapon.
