Witness calls deputies about the living conditions of malnourished horses

A woman faces eight counts of cruelty to animals after deputies find horses and dogs living in poor conditions.

Washington County court records show Julie Green was charged earlier this week.  She is scheduled to return to court on Sept. 6.

Deputies say they received a call from a concerned witness.  The witness saw the horses and told deputies they appeared malnourished.

So, deputies took a ride out to Green's home and ended up agreeing with the witness.

Deputies say they seized 10 horses and five dogs from the home.
