Tulsa school superintendent contract extended

The Tulsa School Superintendent has a new contract to keep him working with Tulsa Public Schools through 2015.

The announcement was made at Monday night's Tulsa school board meeting.

Superintendent Keith Ballard is postponing his retirement that was scheduled to take effect last June.

The school board wants to find Dr. Ballard's replacement from a group of managers that they have been recruiting for over a year.
