The I-244 project at the Arkansas River been giving drivers headaches for a few years.
ODOT tells KRMG crews hope to shift traffic onto the new eastbound bridge over the river as soon as mid-September.
Other aspects of the project won't be quite finished though. Crews still have work to finish on the on and off ramps at 17th Street as well as work underneath the bridge.
ODOT says the overall completion of the project is scheduled for spring 2015.
