A two-car traffic crash in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 412 just west of the Tisdale Expressway Monday night slowed traffic near Tulsa's Inner Dispersal Loop.
Tulsa police received a call around 11:15 p.m. reporting that someone was driving in the wrong direction, going west in the eastbound lanes.
News On 6 photojournalist Gary Kruse says that before any police units could arrive, there was a near head-on collision between a Kia that was going in the wrong direction driven by a female and a male who was driving his Ford Mustang eastbound in the correct lanes.
The driver of the Mustang was taken to a hospital to be checked out.
The woman who was driving the Kia was arrested and was taken to jail for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
The highway was closed until about 12:30 a.m. Tuesday during the cleanup of the accident scene.
