Police release weekend DUI checkpoint numbers

This past weekend's cold temperatures didn't stop people from driving drunk.

Multiple area agencies held a DUI checkpoint on Saturday night into Sunday near 4th and Elgin.

KRMG's told 159 motorists came through the checkpoint.  During this time, 10 were arrested for DUIs and another 70 traffic citations were issued.

While the 14 degree temperature and wind chills below five degrees didn't stop some people from having too good of a time, it did effect the check point.  Tulsa police say the checkpoint ended earlier than intended because of the freezing temperatures.
