Man poses as utility worker, steals wallet from elderly woman

A man posing as a utility worker is accused of stealing an elderly woman's wallet when she wasn't looking on Friday.

Tulsa police say the suspect knocked on the home near 43rd and Peoria and told the victim she may need a special part for her water pressure.  He told her the part would cost $65.

The victim offered to pay the suspect for the part, but he turned the money down.

Instead, he stole the woman's entire wallet while she was said to be distracted.  Police say the suspect then took off in a white van with a Missouri license plate.

Police didn't release a detailed description of the suspect.
