A man was hospitalized in Tulsa after explosives were found inside a house in Crowder, Oklahoma, where he had been.
Pittsburg County Undersheriff Richard Bedford says the Oklahoma Highway Patrol bomb squad was called after the victim received a head wound about 6:59 p.m. Wednesday at a house north of McAlester.
"In the residence was located some explosives that we believe to be military grade type blasting caps possibly or detonators," Bedford said.
The man's injury was not believed to be fatal.
"He may have just a wound to the side of the head where he may have fell. They weren't sure if he may have hit his head on something in the room."
Bedford also told us that more information on the explosives should be available this afternoon.
