Hobby Lobby facing boycott over federal Obamacare lawsuit

Oklahoma City-based Hobby Lobby is facing a backlash in the wake of a decision to sue the Obama administration over the Affordable Care Act.

Boycotts are said to be popping up around the country.

But at the 51st and Harvard Hobby Lobby Friday afternoon, the parking lot was full and the store was busy.

Hobby Lobby is facing a boycott after suing the Obama administration over new requirements to provide insured employees with contraceptive and abortion coverage.

The company is refusing to provide or pay for two specific abortion-inducing drugs such as the so-called "morning after" pill.

The suit, filed Sept. 12, asserts the federal mandate violates the religious beliefs of the company's owners.

A judge has not yet ruled on Hobby Lobby's suit.

A Facebook page that calls for a boycott of Hobby Lobby has appeared online.
