Free dental clinic in Enid

A free two day dental clinic will take place on February 7-8, 2014 in Enid, Oklahoma.

Patients do not need to have insurance to participate in this event.

The event is sponsored by the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy (OkMOM), and provides free dental services for people of all ages who are uninsured, underinsured or not in a situation where they can get dental care.

The event will take place at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center located in Enid.

Organizers anticipate that the clinic will treat over 2,000 patients.

Doors at the Chisholm Trail Expo Center will open at 5:00 a.m. on both days.

Treatment will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Since 2010 the OkMom has treated 7,525 patients for dental services that would equal over $4 million in donated dental services.

It takes over 1,600 volunteers to run the clinics, including dentists, hygienists, assistants, office staff and language translators.

The event is presented by the Oklahoma Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Foundation and Delta Delta Dental Oral Health Foundation.

The event is endorsed by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
