Four-year-old killed in wreck wasn't wearing seatbelt

A four-year-old died in a Tulsa hospital Saturday night after suffering injuries in a car crash in Creek County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the girl was not wearing a seatbelt when her mother struck another vehicle from behind in Creek County.

The wreck happened about a quarter after 5:00 p.m. at the junction of SH 33 and S. 193rd West Ave.

A Ford Ranger pickup going westbound had slowed to make a left turn.

A Toyota Yarris driven by Michelle Aimsworth of Sapulpa, 32, failed to slow and struck the pickup from behind.

Temperance Aimsworth, 4, was transported by ambulance to Tulsa but passed away shortly after 10:00 p.m.

OHP says Hannah Aimsworth, 9, was wearing a seatbelt and was admitted to the hospital in stable condition.

Neither driver was seriously injured.
