Flu deaths continue to rise

The Oklahoma Department of Health just released the latest flu numbers.

Eight people died with flu related symptoms and the flu season isn’t over for several more weeks.

Nearly 1,000 people have been hospitalized across the state this year.

The number of deaths is now 33.

Six people have died in Tulsa County.

State health leaders say adults and children can be sick with the flu for a week or more.  

Flu symptoms include:  fever, headache, extreme fatigue, and body aches.  
The single best way to help prevent the spread of the seasonal flu is the get a flu vaccination each year.
