Dump truck slams into bridge on Creek Turnpike in Broken Arrow

A dumptruck slammed into the Creek Turnpike bridge over East Kenosha in Broken Arrow late Monday morning.

Texters who alerted KRMG to the situation said it happened about 11:30 a.m.

It doesn't appear that any other vehicles were involved, nor any serious injuries.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority will check the bridge for any damage that might affect its structural integrity.

Meanwhile, police have shut down the westbound lanes on Kenosha (E. 71st Street) while they deal with the wreck.

They're rerouting westbound traffic into the eastbound lanes, so there's one lane open in each direction.
