Driver finds street dead-ends, overturns truck into front yard

Tulsa police are investigating after a pickup truck overturns into the front yard of a house early Wednesday.

The driver apparently didn't realize that 140th East Avenue comes to a dead end near 27th Place.

"The truck had rolled over after hitting a light pole in the yard and four occupants, maybe five occupants, jumped out of the truck, jumped into the little Honda and fled southbound," Tulsa Police Corporal Kyle Straight said.

He said there was evidence that the occupants had been consuming alcohol before the crash.
"There were some cans of beer that were located. The witnesses did say that the occupants appeared to be heavily intoxicated when they jumped into the getaway vehicle."
Police are trying to identify who owns the Dodge Ram truck that has Texas license plates on it.
"We don't know who the owner is and there's no evidence to suggest that anybody was hurt seriously. In other words there's no blood in the truck."
