Wed, June 28, 2017 — There is no "A" for effort, when it comes to committing crimes.
Just ask a couple in Sand Springs who were recently arrested for going to the same check cashing store on multiple occasions to allegedly cash stolen checks.
Police say on their third attempt, 48-year-old Dawn Price walked into Approved Cash with a suspicious check and an identification card of another woman. Employees called for help and she was put into handcuffs.
Her accomplice, 34-year-old Robert Jefferson, is accused of trying to cash a stolen mortgage check belonging to an employee's former boss.
Both were booked into the Tulsa County Jail. As of early Wednesday morning, neither has bonded out.
