Construction closes part of south Tulsa intersection – again

Elwood Avenue is again closed on the north side of 71^st Street.

The City of Tulsa says crews working to wrap up the project are adding some more pavement in the area. This work is required before the project will be signed off as finished.

The city says the work won’t take long. Crews should be done this week and Elwood Ave. should reopen after Friday.

The construction at 71^st and Elwood is part of a $2.9 million project to rehabilitate 71^st Street between Highway 75 and the Arkansas River.
