The company Mars One said last year it had a goal to colonize Mars but hadn’t said when.
The new announcement states they will accept applications to anyone willing to give up any life on earth and make the red planet their permanent home.
The ground rules state every applicant must be:
1 – Over the age of 18.
2 – Able to pay the $38.00 application and registration fee.
Pretty simple huh?
So far over 10,000 people have offered to slip the surly bonds of earth and fly high on laughter’s silver wings.
Mars One co-founder Bas Lansdorp said "psychological skills will be the main selection criteria we will use."
Lansdorp also thinks they can make enough money on the TV rights to at least largely offset the hefty $6 billion price tag.
