Bristow man accused of stabbing two people, one dies

KRMG has learned a Bristow man is accused of stabbing two people Friday night, killing a woman, and wounding her brother.

OSBI say Betty Evans died from her wounds, and Robert Evans is in critical condition.

Vernon Stanbrough is in custody, and faces counts of first-degree murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

No motive has been given for the stabbings.

Court records show this isn't the first time Stanbrough has been in trouble with the law.  He's been to prison and is currently serving a suspended sentence for drugs and assault with a deadly weapon.
