More work will be starting soon on I-44 as two worn-out bridges are replaced near Catoosa.
The contract has been awarded and now work is set to begin on I-44 at 177th East Avenue.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation tells us they plan to set out orange barrels this spring to mark the construction zone that will be in effect for up to 15 months.
The bridge has been deemed to be structurally deficient by ODOT.
You may recall how, in the past, pieces of the bridge were falling down onto the roadway below, endangering traffic until crews were able to make repairs.
