Association shares finalists in Brady Arts District renaming

TULSA, Ok — Brady Arts District Business Association members had a tough job but narriowed the field to 3 finalists for a name change.

The vote will be between;

 * Bridge Arts District                 Referring to crossing a bridge to get to the area.

 * NoDo Arts District                   Meaning north of downtown.

 * Boomtown Arts District       Linking to Tulsa's history as an oil town.

In 2013,  the Tulsa City Council voted to rename Brady Street after photographer M.B. Brady.

That decision camne after Tulsans expressed concern over previous namesake Tate Brady's rumored ties to the KKK.

The association didn’t do things all on theire own. A social media campaign asked for suggestions from thje public along the way.

A final decision is expected November 1st.
