CREEK COUNTY — A former Sapulpa Police dispatcher was killed in a multi-vehicle accident in Creek County on Sunday.
At around 7 p.m., the Oklahoma Highway Patrol was called out to the scene of an accident involving three vehicles. When first responders arrived, they found 61-year old Robin Quinnelly had been ejected from his vehicle, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reports say, Quinnelly was at the intersection at Hickory and 161st Street but failed to yield, and another vehicle struck him in the driver’s side door. Quinnelly’s vehicle then struck a third vehicle.
The driver and a passenger in the second vehicle were injured and taken to the hospital. No one in the third vehicle was injured.
Quinnelly was a dispatcher for the Sapulpa Police Department, retiring in 2018 after 21 years on the job.
