WAGONER — A Wagoner man was arrested on complaints of Animal Cruelty, Child Neglect, and Sex Offense charges last week, according to the Wagoner County Sheriff’s Office.

Reports say, deputies were called out to a trailer in the unincorporated community of Toppers in regards to an animal neglect complaint and a sexual offender compliance check. One dog was found malnourished with untreated wounds, and another was found dead in a cage, deputies said.

There were five other dogs without adequate food, water, and shelter outside of the trailer, and a second dog died around the time of the search.

Scott Baker, of Wagoner, was then taken into custody and charged with Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Registry, seven counts of Cruelty to Animals, and two counts of Child Neglect.

The single-wide mobile home did not have running water or electricity, and was covered in feces, trash, and insects. There was no human food or dog food in the trailer.
