TAHLEQUAH, Okla. — The Cherokee Nation announced its spring schedule of lunch and learn sessions.
These sessions are meant to celebrate Cherokee culture, history, and tradition. Each session is free and features a guest speaker who will talk about various aspects of Cherokee culture and history.
Each session will be an hour long, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and will be held at the NSU Jazz Lab, located at 315 North Muskogee Avenue in Tahlequah.
A light will be provided, and guests can also bring their own.

- Feb. 17 — “Native American Major Leaguers” presented by Cherokee Nation citizen Rob Daughtery
- Mar. 25 — “1829 Georgia Gold Rush and Land Lottery” presented by Cherokee historical consultant LeeAnn Dreadfulwater
- Apr. 15 — “Land, Language and Women: A Cherokee and American Educational History” presented by Dr. Julie Reed
