TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa Police are asking for your help to find a man they say sold a skid steer that didn’t belong to him.

Detectives say the scam started when someone rented the machine using fraudulent information and then tried to sell it on Facebook Marketplace.

After meeting with the suspect two days in a row, the victim says he handed over $20,000 for the skid steer.

The victim quickly realized he had been scammed and went to the police.

Detectives with the Financial Crimes Unit are now trying to identify the scammer.

We have a picture of the man at krmg.com. If you recognize him, call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
