TULSA, Okla. — One man has been arrested after driving through a local thrift shop.

Tulsa Police arrested driver Schuyler Houfek early Tuesday morning after officers responded to a call at the Family & Children’s Service thrift store located at 724 South Utica Avenue.

According to police, a store representative reported a white truck backed into the building, spinning its tires. The truck was stuck on the showroom floor.

Once officers arrived on the scene, they were quickly able to find the truck. Houfek had driven the truck through the south wall of the store, shattering glass, bending support beams, and leaving debris.

Houfek fled the scene but was stopped near a fence to the west of the property. Houfek was taken into custody, where he gave police inconsistent statements about his actions.

Police arrested Houfek for suspicion of DUI.
