FOX23 and KRMG Meteorologist Laura Mock Snow says the snow will taper off from mid-morning to early afternoon Sunday.
The National Weather Service says we could get an additional three inches of snow on top of the 7.2 inches that has fallen so far.
The bitterly cold wind chill is expected to remain below 0° into the work week.
The extreme cold warning is in effect until noon on Monday, but the temperature won’t rise above freezing until midweek.
City of Tulsa leaders say Tulsans have largely heeded the warnings of heavy snowfall and extreme temperatures and there have been a limited number of injury accidents, as well as room for street crews to do their jobs.
Governor Kevin Stitt deployed the Oklahoma National Guard to help stranded motorists throughout the state.
