By Ben Morgan and FOX23.com News Staff

OKLAHOMA CITY — A man from Jay pleaded guilty in federal court to threatening to kill Oklahoma Representative Josh Brecheen.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Chad Haeberle sent an email to Brecheen in July that read, “I will literally murder you and you should take this as a serious and credible threat.”

The affidavit continues to say that Haeberle made multiple threats against Brecheen, with one email reading, “…flag this response as containing specific terrorist threats against Josh Brecheen. I’m not gunna actually make those threats but I’d like it to be just ambiguous enough to make you consider leaving your job and make Joshy boy unable to sleep at night.”

Haeberle faces up to five years in prison.
