SAPULPA — A Sapulpa family got a big surprise when a Tulsa woman intentionally drove her car through the front door of their house, allegedly.

Sapulpa police were called to a residence on Jan. 6 after a woman drove her car into the house because of a child custody disagreement. When police arrived, 26-year old Kira Leeane Tollett was standing outside of the house and was visibly upset. She told officers her ex was trying to take her child away from her, reports said.

Police reports said, the officer believed she intentionally drove her car into the house, and she was taken into custody. The child was sleeping in a room that was located near the front of the house but was unharmed.

Tollett told officers she’s been in a two-year custody battle with her ex, who has court-ordered, full custody of the child.

She is facing charges of assault and battery with a deadly weapon, child endangerment, and malicious injury to property.
