COFFEYVILLE, Kan. — New playground equipment is on the way to Pfister Park.
The City of Coffeyville announced plans to begin construction this year thanks to a grant awarded to the city in 2025.

“Our parks board and the City agreed that the existing main playground equipment was in need of repairs and we wanted to take this opportunity to do something even better for our community,” said Jarrod Powers, Director of Parks for the City of Coffeyville. “It was important to us to make sure kids have new, safe equipment that meets today’s safety standards and continues to make Pfister Park a fun and welcoming place for families.”

The current playground equipment will be replaced with newer equipment as the current structure is in need of repairs. The updated equipment will meet safety standards and give a new and unique engagement experience to kids who play.

The City of Coffeyville said the updated playground is part of its commitment to “investing in quality-of-life amenities” and safe spaces for residents.
