TULSA, Okla. — Mother Road Market rang in Noon Year’s Eve with a Silent Disco party!
“All this fun and excitement that you see behind me is our silent disco for Noon Year’s Eve,” said Katy Hall, the Chief Communications Officer for the Lobeck Taylor Family Foundation. “We like to have a way for those in the younger set to still celebrate and ring in the new year.”
At a silent disco, people dance to music being played through the headsets they’re wearing.
“You’ll see the people with the headsets on and maybe you can see the different colors on there. They can toggle between two different DJs. The DJs like to have a battle to see who can have more people listening to them and you can see that by when everybody’s headset changes color. It’s a good time, but a quiet time for people to get out, move around and listen to some music.”
Hall said 2026 will be bringing an entire year of special celebrations to Mother Road Market.
“Starting in 2026, we are celebrating the centennial year of Route 66. If you don’t know, Tulsa is the capital of Route 66. Of that, Mother Road Market is welcoming everybody that’s going to be traveling the Mother Road next year and we hope that Tulsans and visitors alike will stop by, support local entrepreneurs. Mother Road Market is a nonprofit program that’s supporting local small businesses, people that have a passion for taking care of others through food, and this is place that they call home and we welcome everyone.”
Mother Road Market will also be hosting several events related to Dry January.
