PSO distributes over 30K free light bulbs to OK food pantries in 2025

By Fox23.com News Staff

OKLAHOMA — Public Service Company of Oklahoma said it is continuing its commitment to support communities it serves by distributing more than 30,000 LED light bulbs to 33 food pantries in 2025.

PSO’s Shine a Light Project partners with food banks and pantries across its service area to provide light bulbs to families in need.

By working with organizations already serving these communities, PSO ensures the light bulbs reach the households that need them most.

Since 2014, the Shine a Light Project has distributed over 1 million energy efficient light bulbs.

“Community partnerships are at the heart of what we do,” said PSO President and Chief Operating Officer Leigh Anne Strahler. “Working alongside food pantries allows us to provide more than just light, it’s about supporting families and strengthening the communities we serve.”

PSO said the Shine a Light Project is available to food pantry clients, but any PSO customer can take advantage of rebates and instant discounts on energy-efficient products. You can find more information by clicking here.
