Tulsa State Fair: How to get around

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa State Fair officials expect around a million people to attend the Expo Fair grounds over the next 11 days. With crowds that size you may want to make a game plan before you get there.

The other big planning item: PARKING

TPD says there will be no shuttle service at this year’s fair, so people who don’t park at the fair grounds will have to park in neighborhoods.

If you do need to park in a neighborhood, police are reminding you to look for ‘No Parking’ signs and to not block driveways or your vehicle could get towed. They posted the video below to help you navigate parking.

Tulsa Fair Parking

🎡 Tulsa State Fair is upon us - do you know where you're parking? The Tulsa state fair starts tomorrow and runs through October 10th. Many local residents are concerned about the increase of cars and people in the neighborhoods. If you are heading to the fair, there are several streets around the fair where you are not able to park. Please pay close attention to the signage. Please also pay attention to how close you park to someone's driveway, as you are not allowed to block it to any degree. There is paid parking on the fairgrounds for $10-20 per day, here is a map of the fair parking locations: https://cdn.saffire.com/files.ashx?t=fg&rid=TulsaStateFair&f=Ground-Map-w-legend-small_r(2).pdf Be on the lookout for children as you drive around the fair as they may be hopped up on sugar and running around in a more frenetic manner. This is also a target rich environment for nefarious individuals looking for an easy score. According to the the website (https://www.tulsastatefair.com/p/about/policies) firearms are not allowed in the fair * Don't leave your gun in the car * Don't leave valuables in plain sight * Don't leave your car unlocked * Don't leave your kids in the car * Don't leave your pets in the car * Don't even leave change in the ashtray, thieves will take anything. Have fun, be safe, and look out for one another. #TulsaPolice
