Texas woman accused of fraud after deputies find more than 70 forms of ID

HAYS COUNTY, Texas — A Texas woman is accused of possessing more than 70 forms of identification belonging to different people, forged checks and drugs, authorities said.

Dionne Episcopo, 38, of Austin, is facing charges of fraudulent use of identifying information, forgery of a financial instrument, tampering with a government record and possession of a controlled substance, according to KXAN.

According to the Hays County Sheriff’s Office, Episcopo was arrested after she was found with items that matched the description of stolen property in the Wimberley area, KSAT reported.

At 4 a.m. Oct. 15, deputies responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle, KXAN reported. Deputies ran the vehicle’s plates and determined it was stolen from Austin. They woke the person who was sleeping inside the vehicle, later identified as Episcopo, the television station reported. Episcopo was arrested on charges of possession of stolen license plates and was taken to the Hays County Jail.

After obtaining a search warrant, deputies discovered a bag containing more than 70 forms of identification that included W-2s, driver’s licenses, Social Security cards, and passports, KXAN reported. Deputies also found forged checks and narcotics, the television station reported.
