MILLERSVILLE, Tenn. — Officers in Tennessee have asked the public to be on the lookout for a man who ran from a traffic stop while in handcuffs.
The Millersville Police Department said in a Facebook post that a suspect who was taken into custody by the Tennessee Highway Patrol after a traffic stop, fled while in handcuffs.
Troopers had stopped the suspect on an exit ramp off Interstate 65 late Sunday evening, and his hands were handcuffed behind his back when he ran away, WSMV reported. Officers said he was on foot, heading toward Highway 31 West.
The suspect was wearing a white shirt, black sweatpants and no shoes, WKRN reported.
Police did not identify the suspect or say what charges the suspect had been facing when he ran. Officers said they believe the suspect is still in handcuffs, and anyone who sees him should call 911 immediately.
