SALISBURY, N.C. — Police are searching for two people who were wearing ski masks when they broke into a home during a birthday party and held everybody inside at gunpoint.
The Salisbury Police Department told WSOC that the intruders broke into a home after 1 a.m. Saturday, when people inside were celebrating a birthday. Several people inside the house said they heard noises outside the front door before two people kicked it in. Police said the suspects were wearing ski masks and at least one had a gun.
Inside the house were 10 adults and four children, who were all ordered into the living room while one of the intruders went through the house, WSOC reported. The victims ranged in age from 3 to 52.
A police report obtained by WSOC said the burglars stole sneakers, a laptop and $200 in cash.
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office brought in a K-9 to help search for the intruders, but police told WSOC they have not made any arrests.
