HOUSTON — A 12-year-old boy was mauled by a dog Thursday after getting off the school bus.
The boy was walking home when the loose dog attacked him, KHOU reported. The child was taken to a hospital. His condition is unknown.
Investigators said he suffered bites from a husky to his face, arm and leg, KPRC reported. The boy jumped on top of a car in an attempt to avoid the attack.
“He’s my nephew and I pray he gets better, ‘cause his whole face is gone on the side,” Candice Green told KPRC.
The dog also attacked another boy who suffered minor injuries.
Animal Control was at the scene. It is unclear if they took custody of the dog.
