That’s when, Baul said, the suspect threw the man down, hitting him several times, and threw his phone down the hallway so the victim could not call police.

The suspect was seen on camera leaving the victims home roughly 13 minutes after entering, leaving with $170.

Baul adds everyone should be cautious with unfamiliar faces approaching your home.

“If you’re going to talk to them, talk through your door. If you have a storm door, don’t unlock it. Talk through the door that way they can’t get in and keep the door locked. If they’re walking around and they don’t have anything, most people don’t do door-to-door right now especially with the internet, be careful,” he said.

The victim sustained some injuries to his face. He went to the hospital to get check out. He will be okay.

TPD is asking anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. You can remain anonymous when calling, and cash rewards are paid out to information that leads to an arrest. Please reference case 2022-032509.
