Some Green Country schools return to in-person learning Tuesday, others remain in distance learning

Distance learning resumes today, Tuesday, for some Green Country schools following the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday.

Be sure to check the list below to see if your child’s school is affected.

Some districts have decided to remain in distance learning, despite hoping to return to in-person learning today.

Bixby Public Schools:

The district says West Elementary, Central Intermediate, and East Elementary will remain in distance learning through Wednesday, Jan. 19, with a plan to resume in-person learning on Thursday, Jan. 20.

All other sites will return to in-person learning today, Jan. 18.

Broken Arrow Public Schools:

The district has announced distance learning will continue this week. Superintendent Chuck Perry says all campuses will remain in distance learning from Tuesday, Jan. 18, through Friday, Jan. 21.

Claremore Public Schools:

The district says Will Rogers Junior High will remain in distance learning through Friday, Jan. 21, with a plan to return to in-person learning on Monday, Jan. 24.

Claremore Public Schools says grab-and-go meals will be available at the CPS Enrollment Center (101 W. 11th Street) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. each day.

Glenpool Public Schools:

The district says they will remain in distance learning through Wednesday, Jan. 19, with a plan to return to in-person learning on Thursday, Jan. 20.

Haskell Public Schools:

Haskell Public Schools has announced they are continuing with distance learning this week. The district says all campuses will remain closed from Tuesday, Jan. 18., through Friday, Jan. 21.

Haskell Public Schools posted a statement on their website announcing the change.

Jenks Public Schools:

The district says East Elementary and Northwest Elementary will remain in distance learning Tuesday and Wednesday, with a plan to return to in-person learning on Thursday, Jan. 20.

Jenks Public Schools says all other campuses return to in-person learning today, Tuesday.

The district says in-person learning resumes today, Tuesday.

Muskogee Public Schools:

The district says all campuses will remain in distance learning through Friday, Jan. 21.

Owasso Public Schools:

No school for MLK Day, Monday, Jan. 17. The district says Tuesday, Jan. 18, is a virtual professional development day, so there will be no school today as well.

The district plans to resume in-person learning on Wednesday, Jan. 19.

Sand Springs Public Schools:

No school for MLK Day, Monday, Jan. 17. The district plans to resume in-person learning today, Tuesday.

Sapulpa Public Schools:

The district says they are returning to in-person learning today, Tuesday.

The district says all students return to in-person learning today, Tuesday.

Tulsa Public Schools:

The district says all campuses will remain closed in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day through today, with a plan to return to in-person learning tomorrow.

Union Public Schools:

Union Public Schools has extended distance learning days this week. The district says all campuses will remain in distance learning Tuesday, Jan. 18, and Wednesday, Jan. 19.
