Tulsa police say it all started when a man robbed a couple near 21st and Garnett Wednesday night.

TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police say multiple chases led to the arrest of a man accused of robbing a couple Wednesday night.

According to TPD, the suspect used what police believe was a gun to rob a couple near East 21st Street and South Garnett Road around midnight.

After the robbery, the boyfriend of the couple reportedly followed the suspect to South Mingo Road and East 63rd Street until the suspect got away.

That’s when police say they started searching and found the suspect’s vehicle near East 73rd Street and South Memorial Drive.

When officers tried to stop the car, they say the suspect took off again. TPD says the suspect made it to South 89th East Avenue and East 63rd Street where he crashed out.

At that point, police say the suspect bailed out of the vehicle and ran off. Tulsa police then used a helicopter to quickly track the suspect down.

The suspect was finally arrested near South 90th East Avenue and East 63rd Street. Police say no one was hurt in the incident and the suspect is being questioned.

Police have not released any information on the suspect at this time.
