Trump sets rallies in Florida, Pennsylvania and Iowa

Ten days after being hospitalized for the Coronavirus, President Donald Trump will return to the campaign trail starting on Monday, as his campaign set rallies on three straight nights in Florida, Pennsylvania, and Iowa.

“First of all, I’m feeling great,” the President said to several hundred people gathered on the South Lawn of the White House on Saturday, in what was more campaign rally than official event.

“Sleepy Joe Biden has betrayed black and Latino Americans. If you think he can run this country, you’re wrong,” the President said.

Mr. Trump spoke for 18 minutes - much shorter than his usual campaign appearances.

The President’s schedule of rallies includes two swing states - Florida and Pennsylvania - but also Iowa, a state which he won handily in 2016, but now could be in danger for the GOP.

Originally, the President’s three nights of campaign rallies might have led him straight to the second debate with Joe Biden - but that’s been scrapped, after the President refused to agree to a remote/virtual format to address his Coronavirus infection.

It means there will only be two debates in 2020, with the second on October 22 focusing on foreign policy matters.

While the President spoke for the first time in public since returning to the White House, there have been no updates on his condition by doctors since Thursday.

The White House continues to refuse to answer the question of when the President last tested negative for the Coronavirus.
