OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Earlier this week, Oklahoma Secretary of Education Ryan Walters implored school districts to stay open amid the pandemic, saying that children suffer when administrators act out of fear and not in the best interests of their kids and their future.
Walters’ comments grabbed negative attention from educators across the state.
Thursday morning, Walters worked as a substitute teacher at a middle school in Oklahoma City.
