The website National Interest reports the Pentagon is moving ahead to buy more F-35 fighter jets from Lockheed Martin.
The new lot of F-35's will be cheaper, costing $80 million apiece, compared to $89.2 million in the last lot.
In all, the Pentagon plans to buy 157 planes in this lot, for about $12 billion dollars.
They're also spending $1.8 billion on software upgrades for the plane.
On a sidenote, Oklahoma Senator Jim Inhofe has been trying to get some of the F-35 jets assigned to the National Guard air base in Tulsa.
