More Baby Yoda: ‘Mandalorian’ season 2 air date announced, ‘Falcon and the Winter Soldier’ to air in late summer

If you haven’t finished watching the first season of “The Mandalorian” you have a little more time to see the face behind the mask and what happens to Baby Yoda -- er...The Child.

The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger announced this week during an earnings call with investors that the second season of the Star Wars series will hit the Disney + streaming service in October, Entertainment Weekly reported.

Creator of “The Mandalorian," Jon Favreau, made the initial announcement on Twitter that there would be a season two in December after the final episode of season one aired. The post included a statue of a Gamorrean guard, a green pig-faced creature that was seen in “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.”

But that is not all. Iger also announced when we can expect to see the Marvel Cinematic Universe-based shows "Falcon and the Winter Soldier" and "WandaVision," Entertainment Weekly reported.

For that, you will have to wait for August, despite the teaser trailer that aired during the Super Bowl Sunday evening, Deadline reported.

"WandaVision" will air in December, the media outlet reported.

Both shows bring back the titular characters from the MCU, with Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprising their roles of Sam Wilson/Falcon and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier, while Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany play Wanda Maximoff/Scarlett Witch and Vision.

"WandaVision" will have a connection to 2021′s "Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness," The Verge reported.

"Loki," which stars Tom Hiddleson as the god of mischief, was teased during the big game spot, but no date was announced. It is expected to be released sometime next year, The Verge reported.
